Not preaching to the choir

I can finally see how those Apple ads may not be as effective as I had thought they would be. I'm not sure who Apple PR was (NOT WERE) targeting, but if they were as obnoxious as this parody (you like I may not have been able to see them before due to high traffic) makes them look, most purchases of new Macs were probably by existing Mac users/iPod snobs like me.

As a solid PC guy (non-gamer), and as one who does on a PC pretty much everything the Mac guy boasts about, the ads seem to me to be a pretty shallow (even desperate?) pandering to the existing Mac crowd.

Has there been a decline in Mac sales of late? I haven't been paying attention to any of those figures.

I think it's safe to assume that there's been no decline in Apple sales, because they're earnings are fairly solid.

However, there's always the chance that
these reflect overall PC growth than a significant increase in market share.
